Julie is a Senior RCIC in Canada. She is also a trained Career Counsellor in Canada and holds the CCDP designation. She is an expert at Express Entry and instructor for IMM Seminars, a top CDP provider for Immigration Lawyers and Immigration Consultants located in Vancouver, BC.
A native of British Columbia, she has been a RCIC since 2013 and has many years of experience working abroad for international universities and colleges. Along with immigration practice, Julie has an extensive background in Canadian immigrant settlement services. She is a member in good standing with the CICC, a member of CAPIC, a member of the BC Career Development Association and a member of Career Professionals of Canada, holding several certifications in career counselling and development.
Julie holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UBC, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from SFU, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Development from DIT, a Career Development Practitioner Diploma from SFU, an Immigration Law Diploma from CSIC and is completing the Diploma of Immigration Laws at Queen’s Law School in Kingston Ontario. She is also a Certified Resume Strategist and a Certified Interview Strategist as well as a registered employment assessor with Psychometrics Canada (Myers Briggs, Strong Inventory, Career Profiler).
Her passion is to help individuals make their Canadian dream a reality. Julie works with the Red Cross Migrant and Refugee Services Team here in BC, which monitors and promotes the rights of refugees, immigration detainees here in Canada and abroad, as well as ensuring that Governments follow international humanitarian law. Julie has a social justice interest and background and has also volunteered with Immigrant Settlement Agencies, including Chimo Community Services in Richmond, BC. She also has an interest in working towards strengthening and restoring family links and uniting family members with their loved ones. Julie developed a Business Start-up Program under the WelcomeBC umbrella of services, enabling foreign nationals and permanent residents to learn how to start new businesses in BC and that Program has been highly successful.
Julie is bilingual in English and French.
