Speaker/s:
Fred Y-F Li is a senior immigration practitioner with over 23 years of experience in the legal services industry and co-founder of FP Immigration & Associates. He has experience in advising and providing strategic immigration solutions for international clients with an emphasis on business immigration, representing small to multi-national corporate employers engaged in hiring temporary foreign workers and acting as an Advocate for clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. In addition to Fred’s Canadian immigration expertise, he is an adjunct professor for the Graduate Diploma Program in Immigration & Citizenship Law at Queen’s University and a Subject Matter Expert with various committees with the College of Immigration & Citizenship Consultants. Fred has also worked with various leading Canadian National Law Firms in the areas of labour & employment, human rights, civil litigation, corporate, family, contract, insolvency and alternative dispute resolution. Fred and his firm have been nominated by Georgia Straight Magazine as the top three best immigration consultants for the City of Vancouver from 2016 -2023.
Olena Weber is an RCIC with 8 years of experience managing her immigration practice in Mississauga, ON. Her true passion lies in running a business coaching program that supports fellow RCICs in simplifying and expanding their practices with intention and purpose. Through her programs, she helps immigration professionals achieve sustainable growth, build strong client relationships, and maintain a balanced life.
Through participation and speaking at various industry events, Olena advocates for the importance of healthy work-life balance for immigration professionals. She raises issues related to the “work burnout”, which have become increasingly common among her fellow colleagues in recent years.
Beyond her practice, Olena plays an active role on the Board of Directors for the Association of Ukrainian Canadian Immigration Consultants, aiming to support the professional community and immigrants from Ukraine.
