  • 2022 - The Year of three Guides. Find out the changes to the program guides and the significance to application processing.
  • Scoring Changes - Understand the new scoring system and how to assess your clients.
  • Learn of revised policies and program changes including:

a)Licensing requirements for certain occupations

b)Expanded occupational categories

c)Revised program and eligibility criteria

  • Examine case studies to learn how these changes affect day to day BC PNP application processing for practitioners!

Catherine Sas KC

Sas and Ing Immigration - Owner and Founder

Catherine has been providing a full range of immigration legal services for over 25 years and is recognized as a leading immigration practitioner by Lexpert and Best Lawyers in Canada. Catherine has been voted Best Immigration Lawyer in the Georgia Straight’s “Best of Vancouver” for many years.

Catherine is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and International Bar Association. Catherine is the past National Chair of the Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and is presently the Co-Vice Chair of the Immigration and Citizenship Committee of the International Bar Association. She is also registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant with the State Bar of California which enables her to better serve her American clientele in the film and television and digital media industries.

Catherine has been part of Team Canada and Team British Columbia trade missions to countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, China, Hong Kong, and the United States. She has participated in Continuing Legal Education seminars, appeared in parliamentary committees on immigration issues, and spoken at international conferences and symposiums. Tiffany Chi RCIC

Tiffany started her immigration career as a student Border Services Officer with the Canada Border Services Agency. She is a registered member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). Tiffany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, and is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law at Queen's University. She specializes in economic classes, family class, provincial nominee programs and has presented numerous seminars and served on numerous panel discussions within the industry.

 

Joshua Slayen JD

 

Joshua is a Vancouver-based immigration lawyer who provides immigration services to individual and corporate clients world-wide.

 

Joshua regularly assists clients with immigration processing, admissibility issues, procedural fairness matters and refusals. He frequently appears at provincial and federal tribunals and levels of Court, and is well-known for his work in accompanying clients to ports-of-entry across Canada to resolve admissibility issues and facilitate the processing of complex work permit applications. Joshua also works with individuals and families, with an emphasis on employment, investment, citizenship, humanitarian / compassionate and family sponsorship-based applications.

 

Joshua has a diverse background in immigration law, which has included litigating complex immigration matters, and the processing of various temporary residence, permanent residence and citizenship applications to Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency and international Canadian visa offices. Prior to joining Coal Harbour Law, Joshua practiced immigration law with other leading immigration firms in Canada. He was first called to the Bar in North Dakota (2009), and later called to the Bar in Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia. 

 

Joshua is committed to helping clients turn visions into working realities through creative and innovative immigration strategies and a client-focused approach. Joshua has been blogging for The Huffington Post since 2012. He regularly lectures on immigration matters and has appeared on various media outlets.
